In my memory my life was a hard life on the north side hard and i never could understand custer way in a snow storm. Why would people want to live in a dangerous and tedious place. I much liked the edge of the hawthorn district the side of town where people lived in lofts when they were still called warehouses and the people beat-nicks. A Jazzy place to be in PDX. 1959, I was ten but my sister was fifteen.
